Recognition of Volunteer Work |
|
Mr. Danny Acord, Davenport High School Principal, presented 13 Davenport School Jr. High and High School Students letters of recognition and awards sent by the Stroud Regional Medical Center for their volunteer work at the SRMC Health Fair held in October. Together the students created shifts and donated their time throughout the entire fair from the "set up" to the "clean up". Each student worked a minimum of 2 hours with some working all 8 hours. This project is among many volunteer and community service projects that the Davenport Jr. High and High School students have performed this year as a result of being encouraged by school programs to "give back to their community".
