About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Davenport High School in 1990.  I completed my Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University in 1995.  In 2004 I completed my Master’s Degree from Southern Nazarene University.

Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Oklahoma State University

Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University

Current Position:

I began coaching and teaching at Davenport during the 2000-2001 school year.  I completed my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University in 2004 and I became the High School Principal and Athletic Director during the 2004-2005 school year.  At the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year I was named the Assistant Superintendent and in January of 2012 I became the Superintendent when John Greenfield retired.

Previous Position:

I began my teaching and coaching career at Depew Public Schools in 1997.  For two years I worked as a Middle School Science and Physical Education Teacher.  I also gained valuable experience coaching football, basketball, baseball, and track. In 1999-2000 I took my first head coaching job at Westville Public Schools.  I was the Head Girls Basketball and Track Coach for one year before accepting the offer to come back home to Davenport in 2000-2001.

Family Information:

I married my wife Keri on March 8, 2008.  We have two boys, Beau and Luke, and they both attend Davenport Public School.  My mom and dad, Ray and Patrica, both graduated from Davenport High School in 1964.  My mom taught at Davenport Elementary until she retired.  My two brothers, Mike and Jeff, graduated in 1992 and 1994.

Personal Information:

My main hobby has always been playing and coaching basketball.  I still enjoy playing against the high school boys and girls, but it isn’t something I get to do as often as I did 15 years ago.  My family loves going to Panama City Beach, Disney World, Silver Dollar City, and Great Wolf Lodge as often as possible.  I’ve been an Oklahoma State Football season ticket holder for about 20 years, and we make going to games a family event as often as possible!  We go to the lake or the mountains whenever the opportunity comes, but we don’t get to go as often as we would like.  Anyone that knows me knows that one of my favorite past times is going out to eat!!
