DAVENPORT

I graduated from Chandler High School in 1979. I worked in various jobs including at the State Capitol. After deciding I wanted to work with children, I attended UCO in Edmond (which was CSU when I started!) . I graduated in 1986 with my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. 

 My certificate included English as a minor and allowed me to teach K-8. Over the years I have had the opportunity to teach all grade levels from daycare to Alternative High School. Also, I have added Early Childhood to my Certificate. 

I have had various workshops over the years. The content has varied from discipline techniques, lesson plan training for specific school disctricts, site based communications to various techniques for teaching. I have worked in alternative education, day cares, small school systems and large school systems. The economic and racial profiles of the schools I’ve worked at have been varied over the years. All training reflected the cultures of the regions.
